Martha Stewart saved my Valentine Day again!
It's been trying Martha's Valentine day heart cookie for two year, I really love her recipe. It came out perfectly every time. I know Martha always says "IT'S GOOD THINGS!" Thats fucking truth! She is queen of under cooking and everything. This cookie recipe is from the Martha's "Good Things" (you can see the pic on the top) check out at amazon. It is such great book to have everybody's home. It has lot of info about the basic kinchen and living houehold ideas and project. You can see the book pic of cookie on top, its lovely and decorated with royal icing and colored suger.
It is really simple and easy suger cookies recipe. HERE is how to make a heart cookie!
Heart Suger Cookies

1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 pound (2 stick) unsalted butter
2 cups suger
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla or freash lemon juice and zest
1. a large bowl, sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
2. Use an electric mixer or by hands to cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs.
3. Add flour mixture: mix until thoroughly combined. Stir in Vanilla or lemon juice and zest. Wrap dough in plastic: Chill for 30 minutes.
4.Heat oven 325degree. On a floured surface, roll dough into thin(1/8in) thickness. Use heart shape cookie cutter, cut out hearts. Transfer to ungreased baking sheets; refrigerate until firm, 15min. Bake 8 to 10min, until edges just start to brown. Cool on wire racks; decorate with royal icing.
This is Martha's famous icing! It is really awsome! I add food coloring to decorat like a heart. Here is recipe for royal icing!
