V is For Valentine's Day Cookie!

Martha Stewart saved my Valentine Day again!

Hey everybody! It's Valentine day weeks. I mean this Thursday! Guessing everybody got there gift for husbands or wife and love one. For my personal life, I dont have a boy-friend in my age of 24..really sad stay home and knitting. Since last two year, I been making a Valentine cookie to give out to my friends. Everytime I make does cookies, came out really great! In this post, I am going to share with youguys my favorite Valentine heart cookie recipe!

It's been trying Martha's Valentine day heart cookie for two year, I really love her recipe. It came out perfectly every time. I know Martha always says "IT'S GOOD THINGS!" Thats fucking truth! She is queen of under cooking and everything. This cookie recipe is from the
Martha's "Good Things" (you can see the pic on the top) check out at amazon. It is such great book to have everybody's home. It has lot of info about the basic kinchen and living houehold ideas and project. You can see the book pic of cookie on top, its lovely and decorated with royal icing and colored suger.

It is really simple and easy suger cookies recipe. HERE is how to make a heart cookie!

Heart Suger Cookies

4 cups Sifted all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 pound (2 stick) unsalted butter

2 cups suger

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla or freash lemon juice and zest

1. a large bowl, sift together flour, salt and baking powder.

2. Use an electric mixer or by hands to cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs.

3. Add flour mixture: mix until thoroughly combined. Stir in Vanilla or lemon juice and zest. Wrap dough in plastic: Chill for 30 minutes.

4.Heat oven 325degree. On a floured surface, roll dough into thin(1/8in) thickness. Use heart shape cookie cutter, cut out hearts. Transfer to ungreased baking sheets; refrigerate until firm, 15min. Bake 8 to 10min, until edges just start to brown. Cool on wire racks; decorate with royal icing.

This is Martha's famous icing! It is really awsome! I add food coloring to decorat like a heart. Here is recipe for royal icing!

Royal Icing

2 large egg whites, or more to thin icing
4 cups sifted confectioner's suger (powder suger)
Juice of 1 whole lemon
3 drop glycerin(*Optional: Available at drugstore)

1. Beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry.
2. Add suger, lemon juice and glycerin (If using).
3. Beat for 1 minute more.
4.If icing is too thick, add more egg white,
if it is too thin, add more sugar.

*Note: Raw eggs should not be used in fool for pregnant women, babies and young child or anyone has whose health is compromised.

This is pic of cookie is drying on the cookie sheet. It's pretty dont you think? Some of heart I add colored suger for add little touch.

Yum! It's DONE!!! The cookie came out really cute!

I packed each of bag with heart cookie and tie the ribbon! I think my friends will be love it! I hope youguys have a great Valentine's day with your love one and make some heart cookie each other!

LOVE this Simple Crochet Scarf!

Since last post, I got so sick and tired of knitting a "Loop Shawl"-youguys already know what I am talking about.. I just finsh little mindless project last weekend..introduce "Weaved Blue River" crochet scarf.

Pattern: "Weaved Blue River" Scarf (My Own)
Yarn: "Shamrock" by Knitpicks Color: Reilly
Almout: Three Skein and little leftover
Needle: Size "J" Susan Bates Crochet Hook

Pattern Notes: Just simple scarf with made my own. I cast on 23 chain, make two chain then double stitch one row and next two row single stitch. Repeat does stitch ontil length of the scarf I what. Then I added classic scarf fringe. Just great mindless project.. I named this "Weaved Blue River" scarf because it looks like a ciassic vintage weaved scarf..remind me ofcold night blue rive.

I took a pic with my handmade bowl to match with new scarf.

And pic of me wearing the scarf I made. I add little cool button to make more stylish to wear it outside.

Me and my scarf! Scarf looking great!

And other pic with my scarf!
