Kick Ass Stitch Markers!

Hi everybody! It's Thurdays today. I know! The day goes so fast. Since last post, I been making a stitch marker to sell on my Etsy shop "Cool Buddha Tonic" Visit my store and check it out!

Long time ago, I bought this really cool "Creating Extraordinary BEADS From Or Ordinary Materials" by Tina Casey book at B&N, trying create myself handmade beads and make stitch marker to sell on my store. I had extra time last weeken, so been making a paper bead and wireing the beads into stitch makers!

This is instruction shows how to make paper beads and painting of the beads in this book.


So this this the beads. Just use of colored construction paper and craft acrylics paints and last clear coat of clear nail polish, creat this lovely paper bead!


And wireing the beads into stitch markers. I really like does stitch markers are comes out and it is much lighter then regular stone beaded!

And close up pic of yellow construction paper with dark-red and pink dot painted outline. I add little wooden beads to each end of stitch marker.

And finsh product with cover with each of my "Cool Budda Tonic" label. Done!

I really like how does stitch markers cames out! Really light and esay to mark on the knitting item. This is "Bloodymarry" on the pic!

Iam In LOVE~~~I mean Loop Shawl

I know... It is silly face I am making!

Hi everybody! It has been raining alot here in CA, all days since last monday... I did danced on the rain(Not really HaHaHa) Stay home and knitting, watching tv and drinking lot of teas. The weather drap down to below 40 degrees because of rain, it is the coldist winter here in CA, we never had. Usally this time the year getting warm over 80 degree. This is not a typical weather right now in CA and use to live in CA so long, I really like a sunny hot weather. In CA? Rainning? No way! It was raining alot since beginning of monday...thinking about last year, we really need a rain! I remember last year, it was no raining for almost nine months..CA Los Angles(where i live) was lacking of water, lot of people are suffering of drinking also price of fruits and vegs goes up really hige. I remember paying extra fee for water and power..it was terrible.

Now, begining of the year it has been rainning whole weeks, I hoping that this will serving the problem of water in CA is having.

Anyway... on monday, I finally got my order from Amazon... Youguys wanna see What I got?

I saw Leah's blog another day... youguys already know her blog "Between Stupid and Clever" I was falling love with her "Loop Shawl" pattern from January 2008 NEW coming out book "Sensual Knits" by Yahaira Ferreira. The pattern was lovely lace stitch and will be great for my mom's B-day gift. I also saw famous Senda's blog "I May be knitting a Rance Hourse" she was knitting a Leah's loop shawl too! Check out her blog.

I saw Leah is using a Louisa Harding "kimono Angora"with mulit color(Book shows solid color) You can see the Progress pic HERE . I had a two skeins of Louisa Harding "Kimono Angora" color #7 in my stash, also exchange three more skein from Kendra Raverly memebr with my socks yarn(Thank you Kendra!) So total five skein need for this lovely shawl.

So far, this is one of five skien, I think stitch show really will! I was worry about this yarn I chose because yean is multi color. Check out bigger pic.

The Shoes

I took a pic yesterday of my shoes(Reflection of shoe my mirror)... Remind me does my past day, my old shoes....Use to be black, now faded to gray...And use to be smooth, now wrinkles. Let's begin with your NEW YEAR stash!

Hey everybody! After holiday is over and new year end, I broght a alot stuff to show youguys. Youguys know already. I KNOW! More yarn..Don't ask me why! It has been crezy last year and this year will be more knitting not buying more yarn. It is so hard to say to myself also so hard to buy more yarn. As other knitter say this situsation called our self "YARN COLLECTOR."

Been like every year stash is growing by the big plastic ben. I really need to stop buying more yarn. I have a 15 sweaters worth of yarn in my ben, 30 worth of scarf and 70 pairs of socks yarn to knit from. Youguys thinking Iam crazy but this is real! Also buying yarn is OK! But where the all yarn goes? I really need more space to store all yarn. Youguys feel what I feel. I will talk about this more later.

This years my resolution will be stop buying more yarn and knit with already have in my stash. If there is time to buy more yarn, I will find project first then buy the yarn. I hope keep my resolution this year hopefuly less yarn in my clothet.

Moving right along..So youguys what to know what I got for my holiday and new year shopping? I bought a lot of socks yarn.

I bought alots of stuff! Talking about my stash bottom pic is for my newest group on Ravelry. "Knit socks from your stash 2008". Flash your sock stash. I made only 5 pairs of socks last year and the count as of right now is yarn for 70 pairs including the one that is on the needles right now. At this build rate we have 5 years of sock stash.YEK!
